Since starting as a real estate investor in 1998, Makan has spent the last 25+ years working as a real estate consultant, investor, lender, and realtor. Makan began work as a lender in 2003 and gained his real estate license in 2004. He has closed over $2.5 billion in deals as both a broker and lender, working in B2B wholesale markets and B2C retail lending, selling loans to mortgage companies and directly to consumers. His experience spans residential and commercial real estate, from single-family homes to multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and development properties.
Makan has completed over $200 million in personal real estate deals as a principal and investor. His experience includes ground-up development, new construction, fix-and-flip projects, and buy-and-hold properties. He also manages his own portfolio of real estate investments.
In 2020, Makan founded MG Equity, LLC for private equity investments. He has made over $50 million in private equity investments across various sectors. In the automotive industry, he has invested in car wash businesses and brake pad manufacturing. In the electronics sector, he focuses on cell phone refurbishing equipment and supply distribution.
Makan launched a podcast and social media in 2024 to help clients and future clients better understand the current real estate and investing landscape. In addition to increasing financial literacy online, he is providing clients with real-time advice on business and investment issues, bring his expertise to bear in solving their daily problems.
